FWIW I keep a spare LT5 tensioner on the shelf. I have no faith in GM at all and since the LT5 was a 2019-only deal, it wouldn’t surprise me if they stop making this tensioner soon. So, a little insurance on the shelf never hurts lol.

Thats a good idea! They are pretty cheap once you have the bracket!

Yep! Although my LT5 tensioner has been rock solid, it’s still a wear item and the beautiful THPSI setup is useless if you can’t get the tensioner. So having one on the shelf satisfies my OCD.

While I am waiting for a sh*t load of parts to arrive.... I decided to wrap my headers to test the benefits to underhood temps and blower heat soaking. Install was simple, can't wait to test. Stay tuned!

Good question... it took me (4) 2" x 25' rolls and about (15) ties.... (had to cut a few off after the fact)

As requested... mods "this PHASE" are as follows...

1. Kong Stage.X Port (replaced with upgraded coupler)
2. THPSI 10-RIB Set Up + LT5 Tensioner
3. ZPE GripTec 10rib 2.3" Upper
4. Katech Dual Drop In Pumps + GMS Rear Seat Access Hatch
5. Custom Fuel Line + Filter set up + GMS Bracket (testing this out as a future package option)
6. 2000F Header Wrap
7. XDI +50% Injectors
8. GMS Rear Bumper Belly Pan
9. Adding (2) temps sensors to my GMS Stage.III Oil Cooler
10. XXX

#10 is still top secret. Should be able to share more info in 2-3 months.

Well, it seems the LT4 tension has not been doing it's job with holding enough tension to prevent slip, and the shallow range of motion prevented me from running a slightly smaller belt, so with the newly planned power in the works, I thought it was time to add Too High PSI to the vendor list, and test out their 10-rib conversion with LT5 tensioner.

This kit offers 30% more peak belt tension, 15% more belt length takeup (travel)
and 48% larger tensioner shaft and bearings. Despite the extra strength... the entire kit (plus a 9.2" lower) only weights 2.3oz more than the OEM parts and a (8 rib 9.2" lower)

A few photos below.

The car is going to be down for a while have the blower ported + work on the drop in pumps + custom hatch design + Install 50+ injectors + and a few other little goodies I can't share right now...

In the meantime, enjoy a few photos of this killer 10-rib set up.
