You've got to turn it back on in the entertainment vehicle settings area, it still works it just got set to OFF in the vehicle settings (which is how the car comes from the factory).

I'd have to go look but it is in the vehicle settings/options menu, I remember running across it and turning it on when I got my car...

Got the letter this week, i guess i should remove the Range device plugged into the OBD port, what do you think about the Soler throttle controller?
I'm thinking that shouldn't be an issue.

Yes, remove the Range device. You don't need to remove the Soler, I have one and didn't have any issues with the update.

Has anyone received the BCM update while fbo and tuned? If so, did the dealer file include the ECM?

for what its worth - this is apparently a BCM flash update for security issues with windows, lighting controls and horn... so if your car is not being weird with lights and windows, you probably have a proper working BCM.

Makes sense why a lot of ppls auto down and ambient lighting settings got reset. I cancelled my appt for it as it has nothing to do with obd security and my lights and windows work fine

Thank you for this information. I was supposed to take my car in this morning but its raining here in NC. Rescheduled for Monday morning but reading this I think I'll cancel mines also since I'm not having any issues.

Only odd thing I had happen was my radio bricked a year ago when loading an update so the dealer replaced it. If it ain't broke don't fix it is what I say.

I mean it's just what I heard - and it makes sense after seeing ppl who did it and what has been reset. I also do remember seeing GM saying some cars from 2020-2024 were sent out with a BCM that had issues, so they dont know which ones and cant identify it, thats why its available for all cars in those years.

Exactly my thought too..if its not broken, dont fix.

Got my 2SS done Monday and now everytime I start the car it tells me I'm driver 1 for memory settings...Anyone experience this, and if so, how'd you get rid of it?

It’ll go away on its own, it shows when you swap remotes. The seat memory, driver profile, and window settings are linked to the key fobs
