2SS 6-Piston Brembo Rotor Change Mystery
Guys, I am in a desparate need of help....
I need to change my rotors, I've got the upgraded brambo pack. The HUGE problem is that I can't find reliable information about the exact part number of my rotors. On some websites some part numbers are described as not compatible, on others it says that they are compatible...and I am totally shoked. And I don't even want to start with the break pads - there I have zero information what is the correct model and part number. ![]() PLEASE, PLEASE help me solve this mistery! ![]() Attaching a photo of my brakes. |

Part numbers for these slotted 6-piston kit front rotors are 23245480 and 23245481. As you know, they're directional, so you must buy one of each.
You can use standard SS 1LE pads (Ferodo HP1000/1) with your brake kit, the part number for the set of front pads is 25940447 (GM) or 171-1040 (ACDelco, the same thing). If you want low dust, cheaper and lower performance street-focused carbon ceramic pads, you can try the PowerStop Z26-1405 kit instead. Do you have access to these where you live? GM withdrew from Europe a couple years ago, so I'm not sure if you can source them locally, but these aren't exactly cheap, especially the rotors. I would personally go with stock SS 1LE all-surface steel rotors, not being a fan of slotted or drilled units, but to each their own

As noted above, just look at SS 1LE parts for reference.

Thank you a ton, guys!!
@arpad_m - those are widely unavailable in Europe... haha I will need to get them from the US somehow. One option was RockAuto as they got a reasonable shipping cost to Europe, but it's strange that I can't find those rotors there... |

If you can get a US GM dealer or other source to ship them to you, I believe those slotted rotors are available. They are more expensive than the OE SS 1LE rotors. Slots are OK for hard use, they offer a little more initial bite, but will make more noise. If you don't have your heart set on the looks of the slotted rotors, the SS 1LE OE rotors will be great.
#s: 23142500 AC Delco 177-1193 (L) 23189768 AC Delco 177-1194 (R) They are available from Rockauto. They are not listed but plug the #s into the search function. Rockauto does have the SS 1LE OE pads Arpad mentioned.

What do you guys think about these:
https://www.knsbrakes.com/products/c...ms/series/1100 I've read good reviews for them, a big plus is that they may be available in Europe, I am waiting for the prices here. |

If they are part #s DBA52770.1LS and DBA52770.1RS, yes, they are an option. 370mm ring that bolts to the OE hat. In fact, I ran them on my Gen5 SS 1LE when I upgraded to the Gen5 ZL1 6 piston Brembos. Same ring sizes between those two different Camaro generations, but the hats were different. I liked them, I would not hesitate to use them if I had the 370mm rotors (my SS 1LE has the copper free 398mm front rotors). Here is a thread on them: https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=492428

Ah, that's a nice thread!
The main thing that I am worried about is changing the "hat" and if I will be able to torque them properly. I read that it's recommended to change the bolts with new ones, but again....I can't seem to find them as a part number or from where to get them. |

I reused my bolts and hardware but the DBAs came with new locknuts. Never had a problem, street and track use. But, I believe KNS sells new bolts if you really want them.

Not sure what EU shipping costs are from this website (CSP Racing) but I've also been eyeing DBA rotors for some time. CSP Racing seems to have the best prices for these rotors (at least that I could find). I haven't done much digging if they have the corresponding hardware but I'd be surprised if they didn't.
I just ordered a full set of EBC SR11 brake pads from them over KNS Brakes too as they were about $25 less and free shipping to the US. Pads arrived in just a few days (not sure how applicable that is to EU shipping ofc). Thought I'd share nonetheless in case it may help. https://www.cspracing.com/dba-dba527.../dba52770-1rs/ https://www.cspracing.com/dba-dba527.../dba52770-1ls/ |
