Just talked to dealer, mine also needs BCM update, but not the A10 tranny one. Anyone know what the tranny was about?

I show it listed for my 24 but not for my 19. Makes no sense.

Awesome, thank you

Are you sure it takes two hours or was the dealership busy and made you wait until they could get to your car?

When I went to get the update they told me that it might actually reset the ECM and TCM so I’m going to wait until somebody else gets it done with a tune on. My car has wayy to much done to run at all if it goes back to factory.

Will it have any impact if you have an igla anti theft installed.

Well, thats what the service counter person said it took on the last car they did. Fwiw, AI supports their estimated time. I have appointment on Wednesday. I'm just going to drop it off at lunch and pick it up after work.

AI Overview

Editing or reprogramming a car's Body Control Module (BCM) can take anywhere from 2 to 4 hours depending on the vehicle's make and model, the BCM's location, and if any additional programming is needed.
Here's a more detailed breakdown:

Replacement: Replacing a BCM, including programming, can take around 2 to 4 hours.
Reprogramming: Reprogramming a BCM can take anywhere from 1 to 2 hours

Hmm subscribed because mine also is available to get done, but I have a tune and my transmission is tuned as well, so I'll wait and see if it affects the tune or not.

Does anyone know exactly what the BCM update does now? It is only a software change? They don’t need to touch anything mechanical on the car?

Check tsb section for more details on bcm and a10 recall. A10 recall is a major issue.
