PWR Supercharger Bricks

Hey guys, was curious who have these installed? If so, can you provide some feedback? If not... why not?

Sell your blower. Take the money you get and add the $1700 you would have wasted on bricks. Then add the $1500 you would need to pay Kong for porting. Now you’re nearly at what you need to buy a 2650 or 3.0 blower with substantially better cooling than any modified LT4 blower. And WAY more power potential too.

I'm with you.... I always thought $1,700 was wayyyy too much for this product. I know they have sold quite a few of them, I just haven't met someone who has them...

Agreed. The bricks are just too small, there is nothing you can do to make them dissipate enough heat. A chiller would be better money spent than upgraded bricks.

The rotor pack is too inefficient at greater than stock airflow, so that’s the root cause. GM originally had the rotor pack sized at 1640 to meet the 650 HP target. When it didn’t reach it, Eaton elongated the pack a tick and ended at 1740. But elongating the pack sucks for efficiency. Porting it helps get air to it better but the rotor pack is too small to efficiently get air moved at high power levels. The 2650 & 3.0 rotor packs simply move higher volumes of air at much lower discharge air temps…then they blend in massive bricks to boot. Win win.

I agree... the OEM Bricks are too small... there is room in the3 casting to make them larger... PWR made them what appears to be 25% taller, and I have heard from for than one tuner that they made more power and had lower IAT's with the PWR bricks. The issue is the cost as everyone pointed out.

So that begs the question... if someone were to make a brick that had 75% for surface area, showed improvements in IAT's... and was at or below the $1,000 mark... I think that would be alot more appealing, no?

Cost aside, wouldn't the pwr bricks and a ported blower make decent gains for stealth/no tune mods?

Same here... listening to a few that tested them, the OWR's do work, but the price point makes this a very hard sell.... my intuition is that we have enough room in the blower casing and lid to increase the OEM size to approximately. 75% more surface area. Even taler than the PWR's.

Expecting testing to confirm this.
If we can get the size right, and reliable decrease in IAT.s which seem inevitable with 75% more fin area... and our manufacturing partner can help us get these to a target of $1k or less... I think this will be a solid upgrade for 1.7L purists like me and you...

Stay tuned. Loving the discussion.

You are such a dork HAHAHA

I do love the 1.7L blower... and love seeing the evolution the industry has helped it create. (porting, lids, bricks, etc)
