Brake Pads part#

Hi guys. So I am trying to find part numbers for oem pads for my BCD 2022 1LE, as i am based out of CA. I have these from rock auto and it was hard to find a stickied part # for the oem brakes. So was making sure this is correct.

You can always call a local dealers parts counter. Give them your car info and vin number. They will give you the correct part number.

If you have facebook, join the Camaro 1LE group. Look for the resource guide that's pinned on the group page. The part numbers you need will be there.

I have a '22 BCD equipped SS 1LE.

Your front # is correct. But if they'll ship them to ya, the copper content Ferodo HP1000 OE pad for the non-BCD ZL1s will work, (AC Delco#171-1192/GM #23399101), cheaper and better performing. I've run them along with other Ferodo race pads spec'd in the non BCD ZL1 shape. And you can do the same non-BCD ZL1 rear spec'd pads, Part #s:(AC Delco #171-0882/ GM#89047744) Rockauto has them,, you have to use the search.

The rear BCD pads I am seeing on my GM source is 86780718. Rockauto's description on your part # is conflicting. I checked Chevrolet's part site with my VIN and the 86870718 shows.

There's lots of BCD brake info here on the forums, search google "BCD copper free brakes camaro6.com". As I mentioned, the non BCD ZL1 brake pads, front and rear, AKA Ferodo HP1000 pad material, will swap right in to our BCD Camaros. ALL BCD Camaros, SS, SS 1LE, ZL1 and ZLE share the same components EXCEPT calipers due to color changes. I have tracked and street driven with the non BCD pad shapes as has many others, and they work perfect. The HP1000 pad will offer better feel also. They still dust like the BCD pads, but the dust color is different.

Your 2018 SS 1LE OE pads are about $446 on Rockauto. There are cheaper alternatives. With those alternatives, there sometimes are compromises.

I have the GM Performance big brake upgrade so I'm assuming that's the same as the 1LE. If the fronts are Z26-1405, what rears do we use? Is it the Z26-1718?

Most parts depts won't do that anymore. They don't want you wasting their time to order online.

SO looks like I can have the copper included Ferodo pad you listed for the ZL1. Seems like the cold ring isn't that much of an issue if a lot of people are using these pads for their BCD systems? It is much cheaper than pads that are BCD tho lol. Lmk if this looks all good, about to order soon!

Yeah, there has not been any reported problems due to the wider cold ring by any of us who are beating on these brakes at the race track with the slightly smaller pad annulus. As I mentioned in those above threads I have been running three different compounds of the smaller ZL1 copper content pads. Street and track use.
