Msd worth getting

Current mods: Stock lt2 intake, stock tb, e85, 2” headers, roto fab, btr220 and trans tune. Question is should i get my lt2 ported or get a msd and port that out? Will it be worth the money ?

Worth the money is mostly subjective. You will pick up power up top for sure as long as you pair it with a larger throttle body.

Is $2000 worth it for 20-30HP after 6000 rpm? That's up to you.

^agreed. with a BTR 220 cam I would probably leave it as is.

That being said I wonder if anybody has compared a Trinity mid length on a NA LT1?

I've been wondering the same thing. Kinda surprising no one has tested the BTR mid length yet.

Recently saw on fb Pray posted mid length vs ported msd on h/c car and that mid length only out gains it above 6800 rpm or so.

Looks like a Mamo MSD intake on eBay. If so this is a phenomenal deal

Wow! I've got a Mamo MSD in the pipeline. That is an incredible deal.

I wonder if anyone else shaves the MSD off of the intake like Mamo?

Not bad considering it's half the cost of a ported MSD.

makes you wonder how much porting the trinity will be worth. iirc they used a 6" runner. in comparison:

LT2 210 mm
msd ~198 mm
hi ram ~165 mm
6" trinity ~152 mm

to the op: personally i wouldn't spend money porting any of the oem manifolds. i think a ported msd and 103 would be a solid gain on even a baby cam motor, but i would not do any less.

Part number (12620263) resolves to the standard 87mm LT1 TB.

I looked at the car by the vin and it looks like it was flooded. You can see water marks on the intake. Not sure if that would effect the intake, but I’m sure it would for the TB.
