Cut factory springs to lower

Asking for a friend. Put the flame suits away boys LOL. I have FULL BMR suspension, coilovers, etc.

A buddy of mine was doing about 60 or so and smacked into something out back on the driver side. Wasted his wheel and as he said "I think the plastic piece is bent". I am going to assume he thinks the rear lower control arm which is covered with a plastic piece is bent. Well I would fear the trailing and camber arms as well might be. I gave him everything. I also had brand new OEM shocks, struts, and springs. He bought my Stance wheels so I am going to switch up my look and help him out in the mean time.

With that for the hell of it I said "lets cut a coil off these springs and see what happens. If we don't like it toss them we have 2 sets". LOL I know damn well somebody has done this.

Did you cut one full loop so the coils still sit in the perches perfect?
How low did you go?
What was the ride like?
