In my area E85 is still cheaper to run because it cost a lot less per gallon than premium pump gas. E85 is 2.29 a gallon, 93 octane is 3.85 a gallon. That 1.56 per gallon savings will buy enough extra Ethanol to more than cover the mileage loss. So, it's still cheaper to run.

Alas, this isn't true in every state. 93 sells for $3.85 here as well, but E85 is $2.90-2.99, so overall fuel cost is a wash at best.

Agreed, E85 is *3.99* in Taxachusetts… this state is so bad on energy costs across the board…and leadership continues to learn nothing from their failures.

Around $5.50 for 91 and $2.99 for E’ around me. I think pump 100-octane is still around $8, too, lol.

Agree, hence why I said in my area. But try to look at the positive side, you are still getting a much higher octane cleaner burning fuel and it's not costing you anymore to run.
