Heat exchanger drain
Hi,
Can anyone tell me if the gen 6 Camaro came out with a heat exchanger/intercooler drain plug? Nothing in the owner manual & can’t find anything about it on my searches. Or what’s the best way to drain the system if there is no drain plug? Thanks. Anthony. |

If you have the stock HX, their is a drain plug on the bottom of the driver's side. Kind of hard to get too and believe the bumper needs to be pulled. I actually have a video on draining the system as well as setting up a drain point if you have an aftermarket HX with no drain plug.

Yes there is a drain on the Factory HX... this video shows the difference between my SCHX and the stock one with a capacity check showing the drain plug which I use in this video as a port for capacity check.

Ok, thanks I found it. I’m getting a C & R heat exchanger should I ask them to put a drain plug in?
