Current (Feb 2025) Best Place to Sell a 2023 LT1 Vert M6?

Tried search with no results. I have a 2023 LT1 Convertible, manual, Recaros, Dual mode exhaust, tech pack, less than 5k miles.

Listed here (sale forum) for a couple weeks with minimal action. I'm about to check my local dealer, that charges ridiculous prices (So Cal). Logic would say a Chevy dealer would offer more for a car with very low miles and loaded up, but I'm expecting to be disappointed.

I don't really have the time or patience for the CraigsList Tire-Kickers.

Are places like Carvana, Carmax etc not offering what they used to? I've had varying results with over-the-phone quotes, so I thought I'd check here before I start showing the car.

Thanks for any input.

I sell a fair amount of cars on Marketplace. Have sold everything from classics to current, high dollar and low. It's simply the highest volume of traffic out there. It does take some effort and patience, as well as a desire to not leave money on the table. If you're cool losing $10k, and don't wanna be bothered, I think Carmax or Carvana is the way to go.

Thnx. I put it on FB too. I am getting conflicting info on whether I can sell to a third party dealer with a GMF lease (supposedly restricts buyout to GM dealers only. Anyone sold out a lease (with equity) to a 3rd party dealer?

I have had good luck on Autotrader. It seems to reach real buyers, but the market is very soft right now IMO. Great car, very unique spec. Like what you did with the red calipers!

Thanx Late. I searched the nation for a V-8 manual droptop; there just aren't that many. Was planning on keeping it forever. Life happens, priorities shift. .

I sold my 2016 on Facebook. You will get a lot of wholesalers calling, but just stick it out and you will sell.

I had good luck with the recent sale of my wife's car using KBB Instant Cash Offer. The instant offer was too low, but part of the service is connecting you with 3-5 local dealerships that have interest in your vehicle. From there, it was quick and easy to go back and forth with the dealers a few times until the price was $3k higher than the instant offer amount. It was basically at the upper end of KBB Trade-In value which was where I wanted to be.

+1 for Facebook marketplace. High volume traffic just like Abubaca said.
+1 for auto trader. They have a great platform for private sales where they serve as the dealer/escrow company. It really streamlines the process and provides safety for both parties involved.

I would take some nice photos of the car and try out the Cars and Bids auction site. Sellers don’t pay any fees and you can set a reserve, so you really have nothing to lose.

Thanks guys. Car sold to the first guy that saw it. $5 Craigslist ad and I had 30 calls or texts within a couple hours. Almost all were middle-eastern car lots. The transaction was quick and professional, and I got my asking price.

Cheers.

Wow, congrats!

If you can find it, it’ll be interesting to see how much it gets relisted for.
