For those that need to pull the engine

Hey Guys,
Posted this in the DIY section but it's more applicable to the ZL1 so figured I'd put it up here also. Made a video on how to pull the motor out the top for those that need to get it out for one reason or another and like to do your own work. Hope this helps!

Thank you, try to do my best with them. Like adding the service manual pages in case I don't get the best shot and it let's you know how it's supposed to be done according to GM.

Hey, since your engine is out. Can you help me with a picture or video. My belt from my super charger broke and cut a few wires. I believe its the Camshaft position sensor harness. Can you grab me a picture or video of how that harness look and is routed? I am referring to the wire harness on the front cover...incase I got the name from lol..

Also if anyone know the part number for that harness and can share, that would be awesome!

Thank you

FUTURE1LE in regards to the harness......

I went through this last year. I had a belt issue destroy my harness and had a hard time finding the part. I used this part number: 12734111. If I remember there was slight difference but it worked without any wire changes. I think the "bracket" was slightly different. Here is the exact one I used. I also have the TSP DOD delete timing cover, so it is slightly different than stock and does need that plug.

Thanks for that information! My timing cover still stock. I actually did found that part number as well when I was searching this morning and saw that it was replaced by Part number 12712016. Just based off part picture, I think it should be the right part. Was it hard to replaced? How long do you guess it took you?

It wasnt bad, it unplugs on the drivers side by the oil pan. Worst part was the goddamn stretch ac belt

I can snap you a picture when I get home if you still need it future1le. Ringmaster called it, on the front of the motor at the bottom. Has a little shield covering it so may be easy to miss.
