I turned on the Daytona 500 and saw that they had a EV equinox as the pace car instead of a Camaro. Sad. anybody have the details on the motor in the Camaros that are running?

I thought the advertisement for the new Blazer was going to be for a "Camaro" when it first came on. Thankfully not. However, gotta love their marketing about this being the fastest SS ever.

Serious question - has anyone seen an EV fast-charger at a racetrack yet? Talking normal tracks open to the public, not so much Daytona.

Yes, there are more than a handful of tracks that have them. There are also still a lot of tracks that do not allow EV’s on them.

The tracks I go to I see a few teslas running. no chargers though.

As a side note, they are NOT called "Camaro's" in NASCAR anymore, they are officially called "Chevrolet ZL1's". Don't shoot the messenger.

Now that Camaro is out of production how long will they continue racing with the ZL1 cars.

I heard that Chevrolet can keep using the ZL1 even though they're not made anymore. Once they take them out, they can't be used anymore. It's like a "grandfather" deal for any nameplate.

It's badged as a ZL1 in the Cup series and SS in the Xfinity series from what I read.
