Duplicate threads, Please read, No Duplicates

Folks,

Please note we have a new software upgrade that is helping tremendously with Spammers and Some Scammers....

It monitors posting and occasionally places a new thread, and sometimes a new post into a moderation required status. When this happens, it simply takes one of us moderators or the admin to review the thread/post, and either ban the member if appropriate, or approve the thread/post...

We don't monitor the site 24/7, though there is pretty extensive coverage, with most of us checking new posts numerous times a day.... I do so while watching TV, or sitting in a doctors office, etc... Others manage their time however they do so....

All this leads to there is no need to make duplicate posts if you don't see your new thread pop up immediately... Something in the algorithm has flagged the thread or post and we will approve it usually within a minute or two of "seeing" it... It isn't a slam or a favored status....

This is the cost of dealing with scammers, and by a large majority, posts are not flagged. I believe that as your posts are recognized and approved, they will no longer be flagged for moderation.... We still have as many spammers as we had a couple of weeks ago, you guys only see a few of them, and thanks for the continued reporting as you see them....

These scammers are more and more obnoxious, any measures against them are welcome. From what you say, the cure will certainly be better than the disease here.

I apologize for it being missed… It’s open now, and feel free to PM me if this happens again… You should be good to go… I think there is an algorithm that is learning as we go… Please don’t quote me though…
