Front left strut is leaking oil

I discovered this while doing my oil change.
It is on my '23 LT1 with only 7K miles.
I took it to the dealer for them to inspect. They confirmed, and am taking it in this Friday for warranty replacement.

Hm, that was really quick, these shocks are supposed to last. Hopefully this was just a faulty part and you won't have issues with the replacement (or the other three shocks).

Yep one of my rear 1LE MRC struts were leaking bad at only 40k miles. I ended up buying and replacing on my own, easy job.

That’s odd… I hope they last (as I’m sure you do). Part of my criteria when buying my car was to keep it simple / cheap to maintain, so no MRC.

I'm taking it in to the dealer Monday. He said I will have to leave it for 2 days. A wheel alignment will be done after the new strut. I reminded him that I don't want to find any scratches on the paint, under the hood, or damage to the forged wheels or rocker panels. And no metal to metal contact on the lift pads.
