Scam Alert!
I posted a WTB last week on the V8 Classified, SHGV387responded and was Venmo'd payment , this person acknowledged receipt of payment but has cut off correspondence. Oddly enough he requested payment again.
Be Careful of Fraud and Bot's on this FORUM. I Learned the hardway!!! I saw another person got scammed on the ZL1 subforum- BE CAREFUL when purchasing!!!! Thanks CAJUN!! |

Never send payment using Venmo or any other payment service that won't allow you to get a refund if you get scammed. Paypal goods and services only.

Idk how people keep falling for these scams. That or have such "faith" in venmo. All because they want to save 3% (paypal fee)?!?!

Sorry for the fact you ran into a despicable person that ripped you off. I buy and sell highly collectable Les Paul's. I only use PayPal for my transactions. If the seller or buy demands other payment method, I simply walk away from the deal. PayPal seems to have the best buyer/seller protection in my opinion (well MC/VISA is probably easier and just as good if not better). I hope somehow you track that Mother F'r down and let them know they should have never ripped you off!

Definitely will start using pay pal. I guess I got lucky when I purchased a used supercharger using Venmo. Live and Learn. Probably would have not used the Cat deletes anyway and would have collected dust . Just dont like getting ripped off by some A hole!! |
