I think the biggest competitor for new Mustangs is the previous generation Mustang. They sold a s#!t ton of them, they're everywhere in my area and IMO a better looking car. Market saturation also. Mustang guys are happy with their current ride, no sense jumping into something new and taking on more debt.

Agreed the previous car was good looking and weighed less.

Plus there isn't that much change in the chassis they pretty well built the new one on the old platform and tried to sell it as all new
