I made mine for $9 with aluminum from Lowe's. Spray painted them satin black. Car is tracked at COTA and I have no issues.

I will note, if you're running a Roto-Fab, it will not be sealed to the hood anymore. Smarter to run a closed box intake.

Very nice. If the brackets are ready by spring I will buy them. If not, I wil copy you as I want this for the summer track season.

Hey Team, my first test batch is complete. I only ran (10) units at a thicker .090" thick aluminum (all my road testing was using a thinner .063" unit). I also ran a small test with .125" thick aluminum. Although I think .125" is kind of overkill, that will be the thickness moving forward. With that said, I have (10) units boxed up and ready to ship (powder coated black). I will sell these (10) .090" units for $75. The future .125" units will be $85. I hope you enjoy this little upgrade as much as I have.

Note: The .125" thick units should be ready to ship in 2 weeks or less.

what's the downside to it not being fully sealed with the brackets?

I posted on the FB post but I'll post here.

Will the part that is removed be able to be reinstalled (easily). Is it just bolt in or is there some type of adhesive/tape as well? while I really like the idea for tracks days, I'm also concerned about if I wash the car and water gets all over the engine bay.

Yes sir, I have had mine on and off several time. The OEM hardware holds it back in place nicely. I would point out that the OWM seal is not an adhesive, rather a foam seal, that gets stuck on over time. The seal is easy to pop loose with a plastic putty knife.
