Lower shock bolt stuck

What is the secret to hammering this bolt out? I got the top (camber adjustment) bolt out easily enough, but the lower one will not come out no matter what I do. I feel like there must be something exerting pressure on it; the suspension is at full droop with the sway bar disconnected.

I’m sure you know it’s splined.

So loosen the nut, unwind so that it’s flush with the end of the bolt/threads and then use a hammer to knock it out

The bolt looks like the one in this video. But again, have the nut spun out to the edge of the bolt before you hammer it out. Don’t damage the bolt

Use a mallet, something with some decent weight and not just a hammer.

Just jack a little bit the brake disc up.
It removes the entire weight of the knuckle and brake system on the bolt.
Keep the upper bolt in to keep everything aligned, but have it lost all the way.
Very easy if done right, also dont jack it up too much or it will put force on the bolt again.
You kinda have to find the sweet spot which then allows you to easily hammer the lower bolt out. No force needed at all.

Good advice above.

I put the nut on the end to get them knocked lose initially so I don't damage the threads (if you plan to reuse them which you can). I'm also using a small 5lb hammer.

I'm also in the Austin area and have been working on these for 8 years, let me know if I can help.

Thanks everyone. I went to Lowes and upgraded my hammer and that did the job! Amazing what the right tool can do.
