WTB: ZL1 1LE auto
Looking for a 19-24 ZL1 1LE auto (only). Greatly prefer it optioned with PDR. Only colors I am considering at the moment are Crush, Red Hot, Rapid Blue, Vivid Orange, Riptide Blue or Nitro Yellow. [maybe Radiant Red]
I do not want a tuned nor a modified car. Cash buyer. Not looking at over paying but not looking for the deal of the century. I’m in the Dallas, Texas area but will travel for the right car. I don’t want anything like a Crush one listed that doesn’t mention an engine replacement, for example. Greatly prefer low mileage, original owner, no lien, etc., of course. Email preferred over PM’s. RUQWIKR@YAHOO I’m looking at regular car sales sites, too, but I’m not on FB, etc., so, I figured I’d throw a WTB here. Thanks. Dave Last edited by RUQWIKR; 11-13-2024 at 07:07 PM. |

To that point, remember, only warrantied work shows up on the GM Vehicle Inquiry System (GMVIS) that dealers have access to. If someone has an engine change out of warranty, for example, it will not show up on that system. I ask a good friend at a dealer I know well, when I am serious about a vehicle, to look up the warranty history. In this case, I found the engine change. Doesn't mean the car is not worth the money to someone or that there is something wrong. However, in my mind, it should be disclosed up front, and it's a deal breaker for me unless there is a BIG price break, regardless of if there is an extended warranty. Even a clean CarFax, doesn't mean much. Let's say you were in a wreck and had it repaired for cash without it being reported to CarFax, etc., it doesn't show up. I towed a trailer a few years ago up from Texas to the Northeast for a mint, clean CarFax, clean warranty history, original owner, low mile, 4th-Gen WS6 Trans Am with a Lingenfelter heads / cam LS7 in place of the stock LS1. Tons of pics sent to me that looked great - guy seemed like a honest guy. Car was a total POS other than the engine. It had been hit HARD in both rear quarters plus the front then "fixed" by a moron but sure did look good in pictures. Interior looked like 900,000 miles with the windows down in the rain vs. 9,000 "mint" miles. CarFax was clean, warranty history was clean. It did have the motor he said it did. That was the only thing that matched, but, even then, who knows how well he treated it or maintained it. Only good thing about that trip was I had my two sons with me where we dropped the EMPTY trailer off at a friend up that way and spent a few days doing things like Cedar Point, etc. after saying NFW to that POS (both car and seller). |

TTT - still looking for the right one. Might consider non-1LE as long as it has PDR and does NOT have a sunroof.
