This price must be for a vehicle that is still within the OEM warranty. That is one of the companies I have been a quote from. My vehicle is out of warranty and they require an inspection to be done before they will consider it. They quoted me double+ that and the prices went up in 2025 from that number. |

I bought a used BMW a while back, and when the dealer offered the aftermarket warranty (Freedom Warranty), it seemed like a good idea at the time. My mechanic told me otherwise... I'm sure there are good companies out there, but you really have to watch the fine print. For example, after reading thru mine I found that it required me to have an oil & filter change done within 30 days of purchasing the vehicle. And this was 3/4 of the way thru the contract, so easily missed and a way for them to deny engine repairs.

On a used car, especially if it was some sort of "certified" car, that should have been done by the dealer as part of the car prep. While I am sure the dealer would say " you should have read the contract before signing it " or something along those lines, I would be back in the dealer's face about that!! ![]() Either they are purposely not telling the customer that or they are ignorant of that fact. Either way that is negligent on their part. |
