I have submitted a complaint with the BBB and have been going back and forth responding to their BS responses. Mavis tire states the the damage to the wheels is just the clear coat and that they have offered to repair the wheels. The wheel finish has been damaged down to the base metal. I have even provided photos that show it's not just clear coat damage. They obviously don't give a crap about a BBB complaint as evidenced by they "F" BBB rating. I guess we'll see if a letter from my lawyer gets their attention (probably not). Anyway, here's some photos of the "clear coat damage". Note that there is more damage on each wheel than what is shown in the photos. Each wheel has various scratches to the face that are not down to bare metal. I provided these photos to the BBB to refute Mavis's claim that the damage is limited to the clear coat.

I have had Eagle Exhilarate on my Accord for years, they have seen both coasts and the gulf, and so I think you will be happy with them, but you also have 180 HP more than my Accord V6.

The aren't amazing on ice, but they aren't terrible either.

It sucks but tbh thats pretty minimal. Ive had way worse from tire shops. Hit up a wheel repair guy he will go to your house and those will look new in an hour and will hold up. You wont even know it. Then send them your bill and save your stress and energy. Ill tell you now nothing at that tire shop will change. The damage is too small for a lawyer to take the case. Small claims court will waste your time and energy. The repair cost for this will be cheaper than you realize. You have an easy out at this point.

Call us your local Audi or Porsche dealer and ask them who they have repair their curb rash'd wheels, then call them and have them fixed.

this is who I used to swap the rims out. Tire box store told me upfront they would ruin my new rims with their machine.

It's been almost a year and I finally arrived at a solution to address my damaged wheels. I picked up a set of take-off 1LE wheels and tires! These have less than 10 miles on them and the price was right. Now it has to warm up enough so I can mount them and safely drive 6 miles to the tire shop (not the one that damaged the original wheels) and have some all-season tires installed. Then I'll have the original wheels repaired and decide what to do with them.

They offered to repair the wheels. I would have had to bring the car back to them. The same clowns that ruined the wheels would remove them. Then a third party company would pick them up and repair them. Then the repaired wheels would be sent back to the tire shop so the wheels could be reinstalled. This would have taken a few days. I didn't want them to touch my car ever again. You know it would have come back with even more damage. You think they would tie up a money making lift for a few days? Or would my car have been dropped brake rotors first onto wheel dollies and rolled out into the parking lot? Dunno, I'm not going to find out.

Sorry this took a year to resolve. Discount Tire payed for 2 new 19X11 Apex wheels after "training" a new guy, on my new corvette wheels. He used a sharpie to hide the damage on the black wheels. I caught him doing it, lol. I'm proud, I didn't lose it.

You are a lot nicer than I am. Sometimes you just need to hire a lawyer and tighten the screws on them.

I had this happen to me once at my go-to alignment shop (different platform). They bought me a new wheel without any grief, though the price was only a couple hundred bones.

It was a National Tire and Battery. Interesting enough, just bought out by Mavis. I continue to use them for alignments, as they allow me to sit in the car and ensure the wheel is straight (as well as ensure my weight is factored into the specs). Their rack also retracts into the ground, which prevents rubbing on lowered cars.

Oh no! I doubt I'm nicer than you. I'm originally from Philly and live 30 minutes away from the city that booed Santa Claus and beat Texas neo nazi azzes on July 4th, 2021. I love my city. Come here and FAFO. The cradle of democracy and such. I know it's not very Christian of me, but I love revenge. And I'm cool with deferred gratification. That's all I'm comfortable saying in this forum, this portion of the discussion is over. :-)
