Prepping for a tune ... spark plugs and gap for supercharged LGX V6
I plan on going with Tracy Lewis Perormance this spring, and getting a tune from him ... hopefully he can also make my car pass Ohio E-Check - I've gotten 6 (SIX) "Not Ready To Test" readings and even the Emission Testing Stations computers tell them to *Tail Pipe Test* my car, but they threw away all the equipment to do that YEARS ago!!!
So, before doing a data logging run to send to TLP, I want to make sure the car is dialed in and everything is ready to run the log and send it off. The maintenance history of my 6th gen is sketchy to say the least, considering how fouled the manual transmission fluid was and the semi-grenaded rear diff and the SLUDGE and metal CHUNKS that were in the diff. That has me worried about the plugs. I know enough that stock plugs for a N/A engine don't usually work well when forced induction is added, and I believe the gap needs to be adjusted for the boost as well. That being said, I want to find the correct plugs and gap specs to use in my LGX that's running 6 psi of boost. so I can get that squared away before doing the data logging. F/I guys, any suggestions?
