Car will not start without the clutch engaged.
I wanted to test a theory, but was unable to unplug the connector on the clutch pedal. Anyone done that yet? Can this safety be bypassed through the OBD port? Can any or all of the vehicle start up safeties be bypassed via OBD access? |

Based on this ebay listing the clutch position sensor appears to be the black connector. I suspect at full depress of the pedal the two wires are connected. If you get the connector off, you could test with a shorting wire on the harness.
I do not think you can override this through software. https://www.ebay.com/itm/28529848881...Bk9SR_i3yOCDZQ |

I am not trying to override it, just using it as a signal for "other" purposes. |

Measure the voltage across the connector once it's unplugged. If it is something simple like 5 or 12 volts on/off, you can probably setup something to use the "signal" when current flows through the circuit. I doubt it's a digital signal since it's used for startup.

It is just in a spot that is not easy access. Need to be a contortionist and small. |
