That's a really nice car. Everything (almost) you could want. You can always put a blower on later if you want.

That is indeed a lovely spec, but as the other person pointed out, it shows this vehicle was delievered to GM, does that mean this was an ex media car? I doubt GM would install the Borla Axelback on it....generally speaking in most Asian countries, the ex media cars have CRAZY list of options on them....since they are showcased on most youtube/autmotive channels on launch.

The video that L2S posted looks to be the exact spec, so I wonder if this car got some media usage. The option list is more than I've ever seen from most regular buyers like us on the forums, but who knows.

Congratulations and welcome back to the forum! You really have a rare 2SS in my opinion and if it was mine I wouldn’t do any mods to it except the 1LE wheels which really look much better. After watching the video I would say it’s the same Camaro because of the price he told and what was on the copy of the window sticker.

So I don't want this to sound like I'm poo-pooing on the parade, I'm just genuinely curious. With so many dealer installed options, can we still say this is a high optioned SS, or simply a "nice" 2SS, with a bunch of dealer installed options? I wouldn't matter to ME, but as these cars get older, factory is factory, dealer is dealer, and there's a difference. Again, wouldn't matter to ME, I'm just curious. I've been around 3rd Gens for decades, and if it's not on the SPID, it doesn't count.

FWIW, Before I bought my current '16 2SS, I was looking at a white 2SS optioned very similarly, Recaros, brakes, sway bars, all that. I actually DIDN'T want the brakes and Recaros, so I passed, but it sure was cool!

Manufacturer(factory) options are on the window sticker, dealer "added" options would be on an addendum sticker and not on the window sticker.

For example, my camaro was ordered from the factory with the body colored blade spoiler(5ZU). That manufacturer(factory) option shows on the window sticker. The car came in with the lip spoiler installed and blade spoiler in the car. Dealer swapped the spoilers during PDI. Note on the window sticker below "OPTIONS & PRICING" where it states "OPTIONS INSTALLED BY THE MANUFACTURER"

So you're suggesting that it was ordered that way, and that's the way it came? Not arguing, just asking. Why would they do it that way? I guess for simplicity on the assembly line maybe?

I'm not suggesting anything, merely stating fact. The window sticker proves that camaro was indeed ordered with those factory options by GM, not a dealer for whatever reason, probably media related I would imagine.

To answer your question, yes simplicity and efficiency during the assembly process. In addition, can you imagine shipping a car with that wing on it and taking a risk it gets damaged?

Hypothetically, let's say that car was ordered by a dealer. Once it arrived at the dealership, the dealer "added" two options: window tint and body pinstripes. Those two dealer added options would not appear on the original Chevrolet window sticker so the dealer would create an addendum sticker listing those options and adding the cost to the final price of the car. The addendum would be displayed next to the factory window sticker. See the image below.

Factory options, even if dealer installed are different from dealer added options. I agree with what you are stating relative to dealer added options should not be considered factory options.

Quote:
What Are Dealer Addendum Stickers and What Are They For? Dealer Addendum Stickers are designed to provide shoppers with information about any extra parts or services that a vehicle receives after it leaves the factory.

Exactly this, yes. My splitter and Camaro badge were dealer installed.

I've seen those "dealer added" stickers on the window sticker. That makes sense. I guess I never really paid that close attention to them before. I know with older cars, you get all kinds of people trying to claim rare factory options that never existed only to find out the dealer did something that wasn't factory.

Holy crap. How did you find that? That is 100% my car. Carfax shows that it went to a dealer in LA where is wasn't titled for a year and 6k miles. Then it went to Utah to its first official owner. It had the silver wheels on it when I got it.
