wiring up Aeroforce E85 ethanol gauge and sensor

I have had Lethal Garages sensor kit for awhile and a Aeroforce ODB2 gauge. Well now I have the sensor control kit. Most is self explanatory however I have 4 output cables to figure out. With the fuse box right there I can definitely find power and can ground but I also have 2 other wires:
Green: + output for temperature
White: + output for ethanol %

Where do I get these signals from?

Well things just got a bit more interesting for me. I guess I forgot the Lethal Garage kit comes with a harness and such. So my car has the sensor connected to something. I text Matt and he said depending what its setup for I might need to tap the harness with the one from Aeroforce.

No sir I think you are 100% correct. I am thinking I dont use the harness thats currently connected since I am not using my HP tuners to get the reading but instead the gauge directly with the kit which wasnt cheap. I am going to ping AeroForce tomorrow.

Who are you talking to? lol

If you can do custom PID's with the aeroforce gauge, you can read alc % through the obdII port. I did it with a bluetooth obdII dongle and an app on my phone and it worked fine.

LOL This is funny. I have the same thread on Corvette Forum because you sometimes get a faster answer. I was in wrong thread. So here is what I am "thinking" The shop installed the flex kit for me, pinned the ecu, etc. At that point you can do what your doing or use a tuner. I spent $500 on a gauge and harness so I could have it in front of me. I think all I need to do is unplug the harness from the sensor, plug the harness in from Aeroforce and move on. If I want to compare the gauge to may HP Tuners I can just unplug one and get the use the other harness tapped to my ECU. I have had time to think this through and read a few articles and I believe I am correct.

Regardless of what you plug or unplug, you have to maintain the white wire connection from the flex sensor to the ECU.

Umm....are you ok?....

On topic: you can also use a Banks iDash Data Monster that will tell you ethanol content and a lot of other information as well

+1 on the Banks. They provide a ton of information.

I am definitely not OK. Its funny so all this time if the shop connected my flex kit correctly I should of been able to monitor the alcohol %. Now I have to go see if they pinned the white wire. What a chit show. First my trunk now this lol. I need to leave the Camaro alone. I have WAY to many projects. Coilovers for this pig, Headers/nitrous for C8, and to finish C7. Have everything sitting in the garage I am just lazy. LOL

You can use HP Tuners to see the alcohol content to verify that the wire was pinned correctly and E85 enabled in the tune.

@mark114 Wouldnt it be safe to assume its not pinned properly if the gauge is connected to the OBD2 port and my gauge is still reading zero alcohol % on the gauge. That just sucks to because I was hoping this was going to be easy. Where do you pin the white wire? I am going to look up some videos

It might just be that the gauge you have has the wrong PID for gm flex sensors. There is a thread on this forum that details the correct setup for a custom PID that will show alc%.

Like I said, I used a Veapeak bluetooth obd scanner and an app on my phone and was able to setup the custom PID as per the instructions somewhere on the forum, and it showed the correct alc%

Welp I really f@cked this up. Now I got a gauge and sensor for sale. LOL. I was pinned into 37. No problem, cars been fine for years. I go to move it to 38 and somehow the clip in the harness that holds the pin in 38 broke off. Well there goes that. Over it.
