Apex VS-5RS Wheels
Finally picked up a set of Apex VS-5RS wheels brushed aluminum. First thing I noticed is how lite they are! Wow.
19x11 front, 19x12 rear with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S 19/30/305 front and 19/325/30 rear. |

If money wasn't a thing, I'd have those wheels already. Probably black though. I love the VS-5RS. I may just dish out the cash we'll see.
The brushed aluminum looks absolutely beautiful! What a great looking wheel man! I'm jealous! Website says roughly 20-22lbs. Did you happen to weight them for yourself?

No sir, didn't weight them myself. When hefting them, it was very noticeable how lite they weighed. Several tech's at Discount Tire were very impressed by the weight (or lack of, lol).

Will that size fit on an SS or just the ZL1? I have already relocated the harness in the rear and have a 325 drag radial. Wondering about the 11 rim up front mostly.

The ride is much better, but it could be the new Michelin tires, so not sure why. One thing I noticed right away. The overall diameter is about .25" smaller all the way around (1/4") with the 19" wheels. The front rock deflector slightly drags on my steep driveway coming and going. Luckily it doesn't drag on the carbon fiber front spoiler! But it is close. I have to enter and exit the driveway very slowly.
As for an 11" wide rim on an SS, IDK, sorry. You would have to call Apex and ask them. They are very helpful. |
