Android Auto disconnecting at random and sometimes not detecting - Page 2

So as a last resort after reading about how sensitive the cars are to the cable being used I decided to go back to the basics. I bought what appears to be a fairly decent quality $20 2ft (3ft or less was recommended) cable marked as Android Auto compatible with the android logo and so far it has worked flawlessly. I had previously tried at least 6 different cables that would charge my phone from anywhere but would not work properly with Android Auto. Don't want to get my hopes up yet but so far not a hiccup. Will report back if my hopes were for nothing.

Still like the wireless idea too and may try that just for the convenience.
