2025 FORD MUSTANG GT PRICING

No desire whatsoever to buy one, but after several articles about Ford increasing the V8 option (GT) prices for 2025, I payed a visit to their configurator. To quote Frank Barone( Everybody Loves Raymond), Geez Louiese! Holy Crap !
So much so that I didn't bother to configure a DarkHorse. A comparably equipped 2025 GT Premium Convertible to my 2024 2SS Vert over 10K more.

No competition, they can name their price and people will pay it.

So let’s see…a DOHC all aluminum V8, built in wideband O2 that trims your fuel at WOT, built in DI & port injection with auto switchover, and amazing aftermarket support… versus, what? What is even remotely comparable for a new V8 car? And you can get the GT for under sticker too. Tough to complain about honestly.

Lee Iacocca, automotive engineer and genius ,Former President of Chrysler, Ford Motor Car Executive, father of the Mustang, K-Car, Chrysler mini-van, etc famously said in 80s TV commercials, "IF you can find a better car, buy it".
Looks like you've found it, so have at it.

I find the interior on those new Mustangs, with those huge screens, absolutely hideous. And with the dismal experience I had with my last Ford, they can keep them. I'll take a used 6th gen if that was my only other option. Or I'd buy a vette.

I'll say it again, we haven't seen the last ICE Camaro. With Trump's return, and the elimination of the $7500 EV credit, even fewer of those POS cars will be sold. Thank god!

Sure, let me spend a ton of money that I wasn't planning on...Acknowledging that other good cars exist isn't going to make your Camaro any less fun to drive. The Gen IV Coyote is an incredible engine for the price.

Ford lovers won't buy anything else even if the value or reliability isn't there. GM made a huge mistake axing the 7th gen Camaro.

Exactly right. Competition IMPROVES the genre as a whole. I’m not interested in living in a bubble where I can only think one brand is good.

You're in love with unsprung weight, aren't you, Fran What do you need ZL1 sized brakes for in that convertible with stock GT power and all-season tires?
