Exhaust Actuator part numbers
This may be a dumb question, but is there any difference in the part numbers for the Camaro Exhaust actuators? Mine have been removed and I’m looking to put the Dual mode exhaust back on my car and want to make sure I get the right thing if there is a difference. Thank you to every reply.

This is a universal part across all Cadillac, Camaro and Corvette models between 2014 and 2024 that support exhaust valves (NPP).

I know where I can get a set off of a ZL1 and just wondered if they would work, or if there was something a little different here and there with the part numbers because I’ve seen 4 different part numbers that are supposed to be for a 2016 SS.

I’ve seen now that the actuators have to be programmed to the car, is this true? Because it’s not gonna really be worth the trouble to buy the exhaust and then have to pay GM 300.00 just to make the actuators open at the right time.

If your car didn’t come with NPP it’s useless to buy the actuators. There’s one setup you can do but need to do some coding with aftermarket solutions to even get the actuator to turn with an electrical signal. There’s some aftermarket solutions but cost a boat load most of the time just for the valves. Your car does not have the wiring for NPP either if it wasn’t optioned and built with it

Complete Street Performance recently posted a video about adding oem controlled NPP on Camaro and Corvettes that didn't come with it. On the base Stingray the coding is in both the drive mode and infotainment to make it work. On the Camaro I believe it can still be controlled through the drive modes but the options in the infotainment are missing.

My car has the NPP feature, but someone removed the stock muffler and put CORSA extreme exhaust without the valves. I’m trying to figure out what it’s going to take to get the dual mode exhaust back on the car. I’ve read the replacement actuators have to be programmed to the car and I’m wondering if there is something to use beside HPTuner or going to the dealer to have them programmed/calibrated to the car? I’m trying to talk to a lawyer because I was told by the salesman the car had the feature and it was working, but clearly that was a lie, and at the time I wasn’t sure what to look for or listen for.
