I had an issue when i towed my Camaro when I moved from Houston to St.Louis.

I have a 1LE and i got it up on the trailer without any issues, however when trying to reverse it off my front splitter got caught on the front steel plate as shown with the red arrow.

we had to unbolt the entire steel plate to be able to back the car off without ripping off the spoiler. If i had known this i would have put a few quarter inch flat pieces of wood under the front tires to give it more clearance when backing off.

Anybody have any experience with these?

I have used one before to transport my old 4th gen that I had; no problems with that.

Thanks all.
I did. I used the full transport, NOT the drag along where the back wheels are on the pavement.

I towed it from Detroit, MI to Desoto, MO no issues. ~600 miles. Back when I had my engine rebuilt last year.

I had to rent one of their trucks to tow it because I don't own a truck that could.

I had a tow'ing company load the car on the trailer for me. Was easy for them to do with a flat bed. But my car wouldn't run, so I had no choice there.

Also note: I do not have a 1LE so I didn't have any issue like the person above me. But the wind deflectors in front of the front tires may be a problem similar to the person above me. I removed mine so again no issue for me.

Towed mine home going on 3 years ago. I put my daughter through the drivers window and had her fold down the back seat. I then crawled in through the back seat to back it off the trailer. Be sure to strap the front tires down good though. Thought I did got home and saw that they had come off.

OK figured there is no way 55 would be the max speed. I guess I was concerned about the speed rating of the trailer tires. I'll be most likely using a Penske truck and trailer, their trucks have cruise control.

If you're towing any kind of trailer here on an NC freeway with a pickup you're obligated to do at least 100mph!

The important thing about that is you need to understand how trailer physics work.

Remember you are carrying in excess of 6000lbs of weight behind you.

Too much brake too quickly and you jack knife.

Too fast in high wind and the trailer fishtails.

Bad weather bad problems

Just be smart about it. Give yourself plenty of room, and try not to put yourself in a situation where you have to react quickly.

Lastly, and for the love of god, if you see me in my car driving behind you in the left lane, MOVE THE **** OUT OF THE WAY! Big Dog needs to eat.

For me it was 75. But I was driving in bad weather and various wind conditions.

I didn't go much over 75 most of the time.

yeah I understand the concept of trailers and know to keep my distance and not drive it like a car. I plane on staying in the center lane or right lane with cruise control set at 65-70.
