Wiggle waggle is back....
Hey everyone, finally got around to having the NT 555 RIIs installed on the car and doing some highway pulls I noticed that the "floating wiggle" feeling is back at high speeds. It's hard to explain but anyone with a ZL1 knows what i'm talking about
. After installing the BMR Rear Cradle Lockout With the stock zl1 tires installed I didn't have this feeling, should I look at tire pressures with the new tires? If so what are you guys running on the NT555 RIIs on the street? Thanks for any help!

Thermal Cycles
Do you have enough thermal cycles on the new tires to make a valid assessment? New tires tend to be "greasy" until all of the layers "adhere" to each other and "set".

Hmm interesting idea. I drove them 40 miles on the highway, and than about 35 miles back home before my first pull....

I would think that that's enough to get the mold release off of new tires but manuf usually want to say 500 miles. What pressures where you running at that time?

I don't think that's enough time/cycles. Give it at least a couple more weeks and reassess. I don't think there's a hard-and-fast rule as every manufacturer, compound and construction will be different.
My experience is 2-3 weeks before I feel that a new tire's performance starts to be consistent. This factors in the tire itself and my attention transitioning back to typical driving decisions instead of being critically focused on new tires. That said the Nittos may like a wider pressure difference track vs street at various temperatures than what you're used to... |

IMO, those tires are sub-par for these cars.

agree 42 is much too high I piggy back on the 28-30 and some more break in time. YOu could of course do a couple of burnouts to get there quicker

Would love to see what tires you recommend for street driven 800+ WHP cars.
