My link issues
Does anyone other than me have issues with their Mylink system in their Camaro. I have a 22 2SS. When I turn on the car, it takes a bit to come on. When it finally does, the music will play for a few seconds faintly, then when it connects to my Apple car play, the music mutes. I then have to hit the pause and then unpause for the music to come on. This happens 95% of the time upon start up.

Say what? "when the t connects"
What is a "t"? Explain what you've added before this started?

Sorry for the typo. It has been corrected. I have added nothing to the system. After doing some digging into my settings, I realized that I somehow had 4 devices connected through the Bluetooth, and they were all set up as primary and secondary devices. I deleted all but my current iPhone. Hopefully this corrects the issue.

Yea, it doesn't seem like GM knows how to play nice with Bluetooth.

This won't help OP, but I have to say they did figure out the old version (2.5) of MyLink by the last model year they used it (2018), infotainment in general and bluetooth in particular is perfect in my car. No pairing issues, fast initial connection, flawless operation, no interference with Android Auto even in wireless mode through my 3rd party dongle, I can switch to the radio and back to AA seamlessly and channels/playbakc state etc. just follows my input, the unit does exactly what the user expects every single time.
GM having discontinued the Camaro is unfortunate for this reason, too, I'm sure they would've ironed out all the bugs in the 3.0 infotainment by 2026 or 2027. I know this may sound jaded or passive-aggressive, but given how long it took them to make 2.5 work well, it's at least realistic. (Being a software engineer for decades, it is absolutely astounding to see such instability linger for so long in such a relatively simple system, by the way.)

Android Auto works really well in my '23, but I think that connects through wifi? I use it mostly for navigation though, my music I have playing off an SD card.
(I could be wrong, just noticed the wifi on my phone always kicks on when I start the car) |
