Low Torque on Dyno Run

So I had the car dyno’d today just to get an idea the numbers it has a Roto Fab and Corsa Extreme+ Catback are the only 2 mods. I’m happy with the HP but the Torque seems like it’s low by 75-100
Car was in Touring Mode with TC off (single press) 4th gear pull on a 6speed ZL1

Could it be air in the S/C?
Touring mode TCM limiting it?
Spinning?
Bad read on the clamp from dyno?

596 WHP is a pretty happy dyno number for a stock ZL1 but probably typical for a dynojet. If you can find a load-bearing dyno (Mustang is the most common) then those numbers tend to be more accurate (lower than a dynojet).

Yeah, that horsepower number on a ZL1 is a bit exaggerated... he does have a point about the (midrange of the) torque curve, though.

The LT4 should have almost the same torque at 4000-4400 rpm as it has hp at 6400-6500 rpm, and both curves should have more of a bend than his graph shows, with both essentially linear and torque basically a flat line that feels "clamped" between 2500 and 5000 rpm.

Those are not uncommon numbers for a manual car in STD. They tend to dyno higher than A10 stuff. I agree the torque is low, but without a data log it's hard to say. Maybe try a little VP octanium and see if the torque comes up. You might be getting KR through the peak torque area.

I am not a dyno expert... but I agree those numbers are off. Your peak torque and peak HP should be very similar with your simple mods. Your torque does not look like wheel slip, I assume it is dyno issue. Like KING said, a data log would help eliminate any vehicle issues. Do you have HP Tuners? or a Banks iDash Data Monster?

Here are a few of my old graphs for comparison.
First with Headers + E50
Second after H/C
Last one is current minus the Big Gulp.

The car is going in for a pretty decent build so this was just me wanting a baseline, I agree a data log would’ve told us what was going on but it was just a open dyno day for people to quickly see some numbers. I just felt a little confused the torque being so low when I’ve seen stock cars putting down as high as 605/600 as seen on a RPM video. I was probably the 10th or so car to run so maybe a dyno issue, just was trying to get some input as this is my first dyno run experience with the ZL1.

I've seen the same when my clutch was slipping. If you have a log of the dyno run (or any log of a WOT run), you can plot rpm vs speed and see if it's linear or not.

My car is cammed with a 10% pulley and headers at 652 rwhp on a mustang dyno.

I dont know how its possible to get 60+ rwhp from an airfilter and catback.
I would say the torque was the only correct graph.

As I just posted...MANUAL cars using STD correction on a dynojet often dyno 570-580whp bone stock. using SAE correction that would be 560-570whp. A10's normally dyno 540-550whp SAE.

Your car is reading low likely due to the dyno. A cam, pulley, headers car should make 700+ whp SAE on a DJ. What did it baseline before the mods?

Ok, so I have consulted with some DynoJet experts, and they said the issue was that you didnt have, the GMS Stage.I cooling package.
