PPF is a good way to protect the front, but you also have exposed areas at the mirrors and roof edge. And you'll get bugs in the radiators, which are difficult to remove.

I decided to live with it as-is and if i'm concerned enough in the future, i'll just get a new or salvage front bumper since it's about the cost of PPF anyway.

I clean with bug and tar remover on a regular basis, only microfiber towels tho.
wished i got that high mpg think i avg around 17-18

On long trips with the cruise control on with my M6 I've got 31 on a few occasions. It's usually in the 26 to 29 range, though. Not bad at all for a 455HP car.

I still remember, and miss, my old '69 Mustang I regret selling that I modified the sh## out of. Think I'd get around 8 mpg. Amazing how far ICE vehicles have come.

Agree with you on that. It's one of the reasons I ordered a 6 gen when "the end was nigh" for the Camaro.

Delta Sonic is fantastic...as long as you know the right times of day to go!

i do 40 miles a day in my LT1 (20 out and back), almost all highway, and i love it. the camaro is an excellent GT car and at an 80mph cruise i typically see anywhere from 28-32mpg, depending on time of year and traffic. obviously the LT1's skinnier tires help here, but you should see very impressive numbers regardless.

i won't go over what's already said about detailing products, all of that advice is very sound. no matter what you do, you're going to experience rock chips, debris hits, and bad weather. take it as a badge of honor, cars earn those by being used and you're making the GM engineers proud exercising one of their most famous creations!

i'd suggest 2 things you want to add - a space saver spare tire from someone like Modern Spare and put together a small tool/med kit to throw in the trunk, including a fire extinguisher and jump box. not even for you, necessarily, but the stuff you tend to come across covering that much ground every day. i've had 2 occassions recently i've used the jump box (successfully) to help other motorists at a gas station so they could limp to the next parts store, and a small extinguisher could turn an oil leak on the header from a total loss into a messy but fixable roadside drama.

honorable mention - if you don't already, install a dash cam. again, not only for your safety and liability protection, but if you witness an accident your footage could be the difference between someone getting the financial help they need vs. being left high and dry with a life altering injury, because some people are scum. again, talking from experience here.

i'll end it on some good news - driven cars are happy cars, and highway miles are super easy on 'em. i bet it'll run great being able to get the fluids well circulated and up to temp all the time.
