So if they know the shop installed the device on X date, and then another shop reported a repair by VIN on Carfax, EPA goes to the second shop to and fines them for repairing an illegal vehicle. If they has started or will happen, I don't know, but they already buried some diesel tuners so hard Flying Miata pulled all their swap kits
OP is in Canada it looks like so our rules do no apply to him I believe.

Also those rules do not apply to all states.

Just got mine done today. Such a difference. Find a quality welder and just have it done. You wont be disappointed one bit. Still have my primary's.

Im running a borla atak NPP with the delete and it sounds 10% healthier and the down shifts are crazy loud. Was happy with my setup but this really opened things up. Would love to have my ride next to a long tube stainless power headers setup to see if there's a really going to be a $2k + tune difference in sound.

The volume goes up a lot with long tubes. Even with high flow cats, it doesn't hush the volume near as much as the OE primaries. From a performance gain perspective, it's hard to justify the price tag on exhaust shit these days. I did the entire exhaust on my '08 Mustang from headers to tips for less than half of what some of these brands want for just their mufflers for these newer vehicles. Say what you want about R&D. I went with the Extreme Online Store's LT's for this build. Quality is "okay" but one header flange needed a machinist's touch to put it right. Guy felt bad even charging me for such a simple tweak, but I dropped $100 for the job and $50 for the tip. Otherwise very happy with them, they fit perfectly, look good, and do the job. I could lie and say I had Kooks and no one would know the difference looking at them. If the heads ever to come off again, I may look at coating & painting.

First, how the hell are you passing CA emissions with secondary cats removed?? The entire reason these cars have secondary cats is CA emissions standards, they catch the shit that gets through the primary cats during initial startup while the primaries are still warming up.

Second, I'm surprised CHP & local PD doesn't pull you over constantly. Have seen numerous shorts of them harassing Camaro's, Mustangs, & Hellcats for running open valves or being in track mode. Even if you stay in touring, the valves will still open up at throttle. That's OE factory, not the driver.

Ive only been pulled over by LA County on PCH for open valves. I've learned that NPP is a must and before they come up to the window you'll need to be in Touring Mode. They visually need to see an S or TR on the dash to pursue it further. I've yet to be asked to pop my hood and unless your a CAMARO guy im technically still running CATS just not 4 of them.

My only other concern is my CAI. I need to get the blue filter vs the red so im able to say its the GM Factory performance one. A simple google seach on the side of the road im assuming they will go by color.

Will see how this goes. Its an easy fix if im forced to go back to 4

Ahh, the subtleties of law, as only lawyers could configure them.
All 50 states have secondary cats to meet California requirements, yet we are all allowed to have Sport and Track modes, despite these being no-no's in CA.

Some dealers out here are having waivers that they told the consumer that Track and Sport modes are for off road use only..... Don't get me started on copper frees too.... Shouldn't complain though, educated voters made these decisions
