2017 SS 1LE Cammed.

I was idling and warming up the car and I revved it a few times to low rpm's maybe 4k max. Anyway suddenly the throttle felt different like the car wasn't getting enough fuel or something (just sitting in the driveway idling and revving). I let it roll down the driveway to then see what the throttle felt like backing it back up the driveway and back into the garage (didnt want to drive on the road in case something was wrong with it) and while I was backing it up the throttle definitely felt different like it wasn't getting enough fuel or something. It's been running perfectly fine. No cel, no codes, and no leaking of any fluids. It's had the same fuel in it for about two months (haven't been able to drive it much lately) and the last time I added fuel I accidently added about .5-1.0oz too much of fuel stabilizer in it (I ad the Lucas oil brand to prevent rust and such as a precaution since I run e85). I also added new spark plug wires, plugs, and a katech 160° thermostat to it back in June 2024 and it's been running fine on them since.

Anyone have any ideas? I'm afraid to take it on the road dont want to get stranded and have to tow! Thanks in advance!

Anything said would be pure speculation. You need to data log and put the car on the road and drive it to uncover its issues if there's no DTC's yet.

My gut theory would be contaminated fuel. Since you run E85, that stuff thirsts for water. Fuel additive does help, but separation can occur in fuel that sits. The higher the E content the more risky it is to let it sit. DI fuel systems put up with water contamination very poorly. Though your symptoms still fit a multitude of other possibilities. Checking your plug wires would be an easy place to start. Purging your fuel system will be a bit of a chore.

Do you notice any smoke from the exhaust pipes? If so, what color?

As far as free reving, I don't drive until the oil hits 100. I don't rev beyond 2500 until the oil hits 190. I try to give it at least a good 10 minutes at operating temp before I do any real high reving. For me it's not really an option, as the Procharger needs time to get its oil up to operating temp as well. Between the engine and ridiculously expensive head unit, I'd rather not have any failures or damage be due to lack of patience. All that BS aside, I don't think what you did caused any damage for what you're describing unless you had an oiling problem to begin with, and even then, if it had been related to oiling and a part failed, you'd hear it in the engine. If you are hearing odd engine noise, it could be a collapsed lifter or bent pushrod or rocker. If you do, you could dump the oil to check for any metal/debris and capture the oil in something transparent to observe for separation. You could do the same for your fuel, disconnect the primary feed to the rail and have someone prime the pump a few times and capture the fuel in a transparent container to observe separation. Without more data or additional symptoms, the speculation just gets wild from here.

If you had it tuned I would go back to the Tuner that did the tuning for you.
