GM President Mark Reuss Unveils the Next Corvette ZR1 and Classic 1960s Corvette - Ja

I enjoyed this interview and look forward to part two.

It brings me hope seeing how Mark believes Corvette is to stay a part of Chevrolet and not become a separate boutique brand.

While we don't know the future of the Camaro, there is hope.

Ok, Jay is getting old, no doubt... But is he drunk off his ass in this video??? Looks totally glassy eyed and slurring through the entire video...

I think we are seeing his age. His memory is good but the execution is lacking. I doubt he was drunk. He's done a lot of videos in the past 7 years and the decline is pretty obvious, especially in speaking.

He had James May in the garage recently and James May mentioned that Jay doesn't drink alcohol. So i think we're just seeing a man in his mid 70's whose wife was recently diagnosed with dementia.

I saw one of his videos and my first thought was "this guy is high as hell". Might not drink though.

Ah, ok. I haven't seen many recent Jay videos, he just seemed way out of it... Caught me off guard a bit...

Yeah he's been getting "slower" lately. Here's the Z06 video from a little under 3 years ago where he's way more lively.

Great vid, thanks for sharing. I am excited to see the driving videos of the new zr1 when the embargo gets lifted.

I think it’s safe to Jay has a lot going on in his home life. I read about six months ago that his wife no longer recognizes him due to her Alzheimer’s. I imagine her condition has only gotten worse. He looks like he’s lost some weight too. Regardless, he continues to put on these great episodes for the car community. It was a treat to see some of his collection and how diverse his love is for cars in his last episode with James May where they tour the shop.

He does drive it but there is an "embargo" and they can't release that footage until that is over. It's right at the end of the video.

Besides two accidents and caring for a wife with Alzheimer's, I'd say he's doing pretty darn good. All of his money can't buy good health. Respect his situation.
