May take a month to get your car back but good God are you so lucky to have this happen to you before the warranty expired.

I'm sure there are experts on this with experience, BUT you'd be buying a car with 47,000 miles and an engine with 0 miles. So, I wouldn't expect it to be bad.

This isn't some ultra rare, single VIN special vehicle where you want everything to be original, probably never will be.

I've always wonder, what happens with the odometer? I guess it remains the same even though the engine has 0 miles on it?

yep, like I stated....there are both coins to that side! Lots of people will find it to be a terrific deal considering it's a brand new motor....and there will be people who will co relate the engine replacement to a red flag....they might think "oh so what else could be defected and need replacement down the line?"... but i'm so happy I forked in the extra $$ to buy a CPO....saved me almost $20k!!

The mileage remains the same. The car still has xxxxx miles on it regardless of getting a new motor. Remember all the suspension pieces and the rest of the drivetrain still have xxxxx miles on them.

The odometer has nothing to do with the engine, if you push the car a mile down the road with the systems turned on, it'll add a mile to the odometer.
Engine run and idle time stats may be reset, but I even that may not happen automatically, hopefully someone in the know about ECM rematching details can tell us.
