So the BTR pushrod broke
One of the pushrods that came with the BTR cam kit broke. My tuner said I should go back to the stock pushrods I kept, should I do that or go with another aftermarket brand?

Do you know the exact length you need? I got some manton pushrods that were supposed to be 7.875, and they were 7.8750 on my caliper.

I think .010 matters for something like the Johnson 2110r’s that have a desired preload of .035 +/- .010, but ls7 lifters and the caddy racing lifters are much more forgiving.

It would be important to know why the pushrod broke? It is more common to bend one than break one.
The size speced and etched on the side of a pushrod is generally what is known as "gauge length" and will rarely match what you measure on a caliper. Post pictures of your broken push rod. You need to measure for proper pushrod length in order to determine the size you need. |

Did you come up with that number by measuring or is that just what came with your cam kit. It would be wise to measure again since one broke.

It’s what the cam kit came with.

What lifters are you running? I would definitely measure pushrod length.

BTR doesn’t make lifters. I bet you are thinking of the BTR packaged Delphi LS7 style lifters. Regardless, I would measure pushrod length.
