Is Y'all Using Mobil1 or AC Delco Synthetic...

What are you peeps putting in your V8s...Mobil1 or AC Delco Synth..
Pros and cons of both?
I have used Mobile 1 probably 80 or 90% since new and 70k miles.

M1 Supercar/ESP 0w40 is the correct oil.

My ZL1 has low miles and so it is still on some complimentary dealer oil changes that I assume are Delco 0w-40. Which is not an API SP or ILSAC GF-6 spec. But it might offer similar protection.

I will be switching over to Supercar 5w-50 (which is approved in the owner's manual) at the next oil change because it is an API SP oil (0w-40 isn't) and has more zddp (but not enough to damage the catalytic converters).

When I got my free oil change last year I googled the oil part number from the invoice and it was mobile one 0w-40 super car. Yours might also have that oil.

To the op I actually think I read on these boards that mobile one actually makes the ac delco oil.

Only two oil changes in, but both have been Supercar 0W-40 Mobil-1. To my knowledge, this is the only Dexos-R certified oil, and I will continue to use it.
