Any one buying a 24 C8?
Now that gm is giving any camaro 2010 and up 2500 on a purchase of a 24 c8 any one here going to take gm up and buy one of these? As I get older the ride in my 1le is a little tough but the looks keep me in the car.

i was on "lists" to buy a c8 but went with a zle as i wanted a manual
and with the adm games the dealers were playing with base c8's happy to see sanity has come back. I might consider a base as a daily in a year or so as my zle checks all the performance boxes and will hold its value better |

I have a C8 Z06/Z07 package on order and have been waiting on the "Customer Build" program to open the dates so I can have my name on the Engine Plaque!!
I specifically ordered the Z06 Z07 2LZ full carbon with the exception of the wheels & brakes. I intend to track this car along with my ZLE, as I simply love this Camaro!! I am probably going to buy the Blackwing "Technical" version if GM actually does release these cars... they have them designed with part numbers for the special parts but my Dealer says he cannot get an allocation for one yet. This leads me to the ZR1... oh Yes, She Will Be Mine!! AND... I will beat on it until I find out what fails too!! |

Basically they're just giving Camaro owners Chevrolet Loyalty discount for a C8. For the cost of a C8 that discount would have to be special if it were me, and $2500 isn't special enough on a C8.

When I got my Camaro there was nearly three times that amount in discounts alone. The car market is still too FUBAR right now.

I finally got very confidently passed by a Z51 C8 at the track. It must have been driver issues with earlier drivers because this guy almost ran me over. The mid engine chassis *is* better. (and he was on slicks). I have driven them and they do handle better. The front end noticeably turns in quicker with the less weight. The auto is awesome and has more ratios than the manuals.
I will stick with my M6 muscle car for the track.

You don't have to trade in your Camaro, just show that one is registered to you.

The slicks alone are probably worth at least 2.5% lap time but that's still impressive if the C8 had stock horsepower. |

i think a ~$55K used 1lt stripper z51 will make a great platform for a track car soon. strip it out. put wide Apex wheels on it. monoballs in the a-arms. essex brakes. MCS 2-ways. light aero. maybe a cam. 3300lb 550hp mid engine gt3 killer.
running the z06 in iracing makes me want a C8 at some point. |

No C8 for me. Tried to ride in one this last weekend and I don't fit with my helmet on. So no go.
