This is one of the reasons why I took the path to installing Carbon Ceramic Rotors. No more brake dust or rusty rotors. Yes its expensive, but so worth it. This should have been an option from GM day 1 on the ZL1 in my opinion.

Thank you everyone for the great suggestions! I tried driving my Corvette back and forth in the driveway a few times and that definitely helped. Also like the idea of trying Hyde’s too.

The easiest solution is for you to drive back and forward with the brake pedal lightly applied. I usually let the car go backwards on my driveway while tapping the breaks. No rust at all.
Car sometimes sits for months
