Topping up coolant

I’m about a pint low in the lower chamber. Rather than buy a gallon of coolant, is it ok to use distilled water? Thanks.

I'm no expert on this at all. But, maybe consider 12oz bottle of WaterWetter instead? Not sure I'd dilute the 50/50 Dex-cool with distilled water. Especially since your in hot temps in FL.

Alternatively, you can buy 50/50 premix, too. If you use that, your antifreeze to water ratio will not change at all. I typically use ACDelco 50/50 (part number 12378390), but the Prestone AF850 (50/50) is fine as well.

Yes that's fine for Florida if you don't want to buy a 50/50 mix.

Coolant stores well and you'll need it again, just buy a 50/50 premix for GM.

I have a gallon of Prestone 50/50 mix that I use for my ZL1 and Chevy 1500 truck. Never had any issues.

No offense, but you have a 2020 ZL1, is a gallon of premixed Dexcool (~$30?) going to set you back enough that you even need to think about it? I was a little low in my lower coolant reservoir and bought a gallon of the proper Dexcool premix and topped it up and I spent probably at least $20k less on my car than you did... Just put in the proper coolant and move on, fluids are not the place to cheap out on a $70k car... Plus I had plenty left for all my friends who needed a splash of coolant to top up their reservoirs...
