Did a lot of racing this past weekend. Went to UMI's Muscle on the Mountain. Blew up my BRAND NEW '23 Silverado 6.2 on the way down there. Uhaul to the rescue. It messed with my head all weekend. Ended up qualifying in p3 behind Strano and Doug Rowse. Got into the shootout and went 1 round. I threw down a pretty good lap in round 2 but coned it. I also went 2-5-3, instead of 2-3 coming into the backstretch. Had I only hit 1 cone I would have advanced, ugh. Oh well. Still won $250. Here's my lap:

Then drove all night, dropped the Uhaul off, got 3.5 hours of sleep, and did a local the next day. Was still driving with hyper aggression from the day before, and got FTD, Top Pax, class win:

Also was able to help out a few novices which is my favorite thing to do. Did 3 laps in a brand new GT500 Carbon option, and a new 1LE SS. Both guys finished in the trophies!

Finally feel like the azenis are working for me on the 19s. I think somewhere along the lines I had confused the front/rear pressure bias and got them backwards. Got it straightened out today and got 2nd place open, and even then I had 1st until a cayman squeaked by in time on their last run.

Had a great battle with Sam up at FLR region today. The course was unforgiving for the big cars. You really had to push it in the tight spots to get a good time. Ended up p2 in pro and p2 in pax by .118 oh well. Here's a video of my last run that got me real close:

Went down to MBR SCCA region for a local. A friend of mine blew up his Mustang a few weeks earlier so I offered up my car for a co-drive. we went 1-2 in CAM, and I grabbed FTD and Top PAX as well, beating out a go-cart for FTD which makes it pretty sweet!

Video from the Chicago tour this weekend. Good event with some good drivers all pushing us to go faster. We were lucky to get all dry runs compared to the morning heat on day 2.

You look so calm behind the wheel, and I'm a freakin' hot mess lol. You're just casually moving your arms, and I'm throwing my entire body into every turn lol. I've tried to settle down and it just ends up slowing me down a bit. Have you always driven this way or is it something you had to work on?

I just had to go look at some old videos to check. Looks like I've always been somewhat calm behind the wheel. Not something i have worked on but i do put the camera here so i can see my hands. I know if im calm im going fast, but thats just me. I know some drivers that look manic and are quick. All comes down to driving style.

Finger Lakes Tour this past weekend. Saturday run was much better driven than the five cones would suggest. I may have been 0.1-0.15 quicker for hitting two of them, but I don't think the other three helped. Sunday's run has a cone, too, but don't think it helped. The scratch times would have had me in second and in front of Strano and Chad, but still nowhere close to Tomo (well, kinda close on Saturday to his clean time, but that just makes Sunday look even worse )

Saturday:

Tomo is a damn Alien lol! He's been tearing it up everywhere he goes. My guess is he will bomb the FS Pax for next year. FS has a few national wins this year.

Here's my race from yesterday at MBR. A VERY fast course design, hit near 70 going into the left banking near the finish, and was near 75 going through the finish.

Here's a cool side-by-side vid my friend Hsun made. He codrove with me last weekend at the local BMW club ax series. In this vid, I set fastest time and was .03s in PAX behind my friend James in a FS Mustang M1.

Unfortunately, we then ran the course in reverse with some small changes and I lost a massive 1s to James in raw time... I just ran out of steam and couldn't drive properly anymore... I have some residual covid effects. So James probably won overall, I was around 5th... Hsun beat me overall by about .3s. The final result is fastest morning and afternoon times added, only 1st 3 runs count... and is still being processed. James has a shot at the FS podium at SCCA Nats this year, so I'm super happy I could come .03s away, which is about .9s faster raw time... FS PAX is soft!

Oh also, I was the course designer. The venue is small, there are light poles, holes and rough patches in the surface. It's my 5th course so far and it needed to run forward and backwards. I welcome any constructive criticism.

That looks like a fun and challenging course design to me.
