Lug nuts for drag wheels

Just got my SS back from the shop and I purchased some welds for the rear, I was wondering if the factory lug nuts would work or would I have to get aftermarket lugs?

Most aftermarket drag wheels need smaller diameter lug nuts plus they really should be open ended lug nuts anyway for tech inspection at the drag strip. Buy yourself a set of calipers…even a $10 one from Harbor Freight will do…and learn how to use it. You’ll wonder how you ever lived without them. Then you can measure the wheel openings to see what you need for size. The stock lug nuts are 29mm diameter. I’m running titanium ones that are just over 24mm and barely fit.

BTW, the wheel studs are M14 X 1.50 so make sure whatever lug nuts you buy fit.
