F1 3, F1 3R or PS2?

I am about to replace tires on my '21 1LE. I am an occasional driver that pushes her when I do take her out. I do not track and do not bring her out in the rain or on wet roads. When I purchased the car a few months ago, the tires were mismatched and seems noticeable performance wise. 3rs are on front and Proxes on rear. I have had a good experience performance wise with 3s on previous ZL1 but no experience with 3Rs. The 3Rs (5/32 Tread Depth) seem to be the most stable traction on dry roads with limited life in comparison with 3s (8/32). I have always had great experiences with Michelin tires on other vehicles which causes me to consider the PS2 (7/32). I feel the PS4s (9.5/32) would limit performance in comparison to 3Rs and PS2s but unsure due to lack of experience. I'm sure all four are good tires and I'm overthinking this but would appreciate any insight or suggestions from community. Thank you

if your not tracking it no need for 3rs they are expensive terrible in cold and rain and pretty much a track only use tire

OEM F1 3s would be perfect for your intended use.

The SC3 is a great tire if one cares about dry grip and steering feel/response. But the wet performance can be an issue as the tires wear. Also they do not have great wear or cold grip. Seems the ZL1 guys do not care for the straight line traction though.

I have driven an SS 1LE with the OE SC3, 4S and Pilot Super Sport. Since you mentioned your positive experience with Michelins, the PSS is very close to the SC3 in sidewall stiffness and steering feel/response. But the SC3 has more total dry grip, especially as the ambient temps increase. While you mentioned you don't drive your car in wet, I'll mention anyway that if you want better wet and cold grip while not significantly losing out on the other performance metrics, the Michelin Pilot Super Sport is a good choice over the SC3 and especially the 4S. The 4S is a sloppy mess on the SS 1LE when compared to the OE SC3, too soft of a sidewall and the great steering response is muted. I suspect that would be a greater difference on a ZLE.

Glad you posted this bc I’ve experienced the same from the ps4 on a non 1le

The razor sharp steering was turned more sloppy. Does the pss retain the good steering feedback?

The ps4 had a great ride on bumps tho. How was the pss on bumps

Yes, the PSS is as good, maybe a touch better on the steering feel than the OE SS 1LE SC3 tire. And same with the sidewall stiffness. As stiff, maybe a touch stiffer than the SC3.

There's no free lunch. Stiff tire comes with sharper response and less compliance.
