It does, about 1/2" more wheel gap... I'm planning to put a set of Eibach Lowering Springs on mine to get ride of that extra 1/2" and probably close it about an additional 1/2" (1.0" total drop)

Here is how mine currently sits with MRR017's and SS1LE tire size (285/30 & 305/30)...

Hey Capt, thanks for confirming, I would say that 1/2" drop will make it look just right. Seems like it's a very expensive endeavor, between the rims, tires and lowering kit.

The springs are going to cost me about $350 (there are less expensive lowering springs), I'm going to do the work myself so I'll save the labor...

From what I understand the Eibach springs will drop me about 1", which should nicely close up the gap (while still leaving some gap), I definitely am not going for the "Ricer tires in the wells" look, just want to close the gap a bit...

Another option you could do is go with 275/35 & 305/35 and that would close up the gap as well without needing lowering springs...

Lol, definitely no "ricer tires in the well". I'll hang tight until you complete your build before I make a move. Keep us posted brother.

Reviving this old thread, lol. But, I'm also looking at getting a set of either replicas or oem 1le wheels on a 16+ Camaro SS.

Stock Front Diameter (245/40): 27.7"
1LE Wheel Front Diameter (285/30): 26.7"

Stock Rear Diameter (275/35): 27.6"
1LE Wheel Rear Diameter (305/30): 27.2"

It does create a space between the top of the tire to the fender well as mentioned above. Instead of lowering springs to adjust the problem, can you instead run this size on 1LE wheels:

Front: 285/35 (27.9")
Rear: 295/35 (28.1")

I'm not sure how it will look, almost a squared setup. But at least the fender wheel gap shrinks.

This is how 285/35/20 and 305/35/20 tires will look on a 2SS with 1LE wheels.

I will say that space in the front is very tight, the driver side rubs a tiny bit in one spot on full left lock, so my next set will be 275/35/20 and 315/30/20, those are shorter and work better in general with standard SS dimensions and these wheels.

Also don't forget to check the wiring harness location in the driver side rear wheel well, make sure it doesn't rub, and if it does, relocate this segment of the harness. There are plenty of threads here on this topic.

arpad_m, please refresh me, are those MRR017's or actual 1LE wheels? Also, do you have MRC?

I did have MRR 017s in the past, but these are already my genuine 1LE wheels. Yes, my car has MRC and isn't lowered.
