Hi guys,

I have strange issue trying to program smart key for my Camaro ZL1 2018
I am using the secoind method, because I do not have two keys
Using emergency key

1. Remove the key lock cylinder cap on the driver door handle. Insert the vehicle key of the transmitter into the key lock cylinder on the driver door handle and turn the key to the unlock position five times within 10 seconds.

I am trying thia option but nothing happens. Nothing appears on my dashboard. No learning process
Any ideas what is the reason for this? Which module in the car is used for programming? CCM, BCM?
Is it possible somehow this function to be disabled using a software or smoething similar?

I hope someone had this issue before and can help me

Just to mention the car is from Dubai and GCC specs, not USA specs. Is it possible the function for reprogramming to be disabled on GCC specs Camaros?

It does mention that, “programming without recognized transmitters” is not available in Canada. That may also be the same in your case.

Perhaps you could check with a dealer?

Unfortunately I live in Bulgaria and never met the dealer. Seems the method will be just go and create additional key with Locksmith representative
