smell clutch
ok so every now and againn i can smell clutch inside the car 2023 zl1 6 speed manule,i don't do alot od burnouts but do stab the gas once in awhile so is it normal to smell clutch ? i am still under warrenty

nope not normal to smell your clutch. Even doing a burnout I do not smell it.
Make sure your fully releasing the clutch before hitting the gas. It will still stay in with even a little clutch pedal travel (like a inch or two). |

Many tips for manuals:
-Don't let your foot rest on the clutch pedal at any pressure, even if you think you're not pressing it -When taking off from a stop keep RPMs as low as possible for the amount of acceleration you're planning to do. There's no reason to go above 1000 RPM before the clutch is fully out if you're just putting around -Between shifts (especially when ripping around) make sure you're not "using the clutch to bring the RPMs down" if you catch my drift. Your timing has to be correct to line up the RPM drop to letting the clutch out then finally giving it throttle. If you give it throttle too early the RPMs rise more then the next gear calls for, uses the clutch way more then you need to. |

welll thanks for the replys
but i do not drive with my foot on the pedel, the smell seems to be present just after start up and not everytime?ya'll know how these cars fire up its like right now!, its probably nothing as the cluch works fine and i don't detect and slipping. ? |
